![]() but to my horror, lowering settings didnt make any difference at all. After realizing i can sacrifice some ultra settings to get 60fps. I found this out half way through in game. just hope the pcie3 is not the problem.Ĭhanging the dlss mode or resolution didnt make any substantial difference, i can say its really unchanged. Im using a Zotac rtx3080 trinity OC with a ryzen 5 3600. With that said, i truly dont see any reviewer talking about this anytime soon because they are all testing the game with very powerful high-end pc (literally the best of the best parts of each class) 8c8t wont fit and 8gb of vram is not enough for stable performance with rt on this game, its very unstable and varies a lot from place to place, sadly. 40~~60fps would be absolutely fine if it was a stable performance but the game has tons of frametime issues with any rt effect on random areas. Considering digital foundry claims the game runs flawless on high end pc (rtx 3090 and i9 10900k (10c 20t) and says no word about bad performance on pc and probably they wont as well coz they will test low end cpu such as i5 9400 with rt off rather than on to "hide" this issue. Once i turn off raytracing i can have a solid 90fps+ with an overclocked rtx 2060. I even tried running at 480p with dlss ON performance (oh, my eyes) and the fps remained the same but gpu usage dropped a lot. I have an i5 9600k overclocked to 5ghz and no matter what settings or resolution with any raytracing effect on, even just one, it makes my game stutter and drops from 60 fps to 40~50s randomly. You need a very powerful cpu with tons of threads and a gpu with a lot of vram to play this game with good performance with rt. Overall, the AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT and ASRock Radeon RX 7800 XT Phantom Gaming OC offer a compelling choice for mid-range/enthusiast gamers seeking excellent 1440p performance and great value for money.A good resource for PC gaming is the PC Gaming Wiki. The GPUs support the new DisplayPort 2.1 spec and introduce hardware-based AV1 encoding for improved video quality.ĪMD’s FSR 2 rendering and upcoming FSR 3 frame generation technology, as well as support for games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Starfield, further enhance the gaming experience on these GPUs. They also feature second-generation AMD Infinity Cache, dedicated RT hardware for ray-tracing, and new hardware-based AI acceleration. The GPUs utilize a Graphics Compute Die (GCD) and a Memory Cache Die (MCD) to optimize performance and keep costs down. These GPUs feature AMD’s RDNA 3 architecture, which introduces chiplet design similar to AMD’s Ryzen CPUs. However, if you are looking for a powerful GPU that excels at 1440p gaming and offers great value for money, these GPUs should be on your shortlist. The ray-tracing performance is still behind the competition, there is a drop-off in performance at 4K resolution, and AMD FSR 2 upscaling is not as good as NVIDIA DLSS at 1440p.Ĭonsidering all the factors, it is worth avoiding these GPUs if you prioritize ray-tracing performance or 4K gaming. However, there are a few cons to consider. ![]() These GPUs truly give the GeForce RTX 4070 a run for its money. The pros of these GPUs include their excellent 1440p performance, ASRock’s Phantom Gaming cooling, competitive pricing, and great value for money. One of the highlights of these GPUs is that they come with a free copy of Starfield. These GPUs offer excellent 1440p performance that rivals the GeForce RTX 4070. In the mid-range/enthusiast GPU market, the AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT and ASRock Radeon RX 7800 XT Phantom Gaming OC are creating some real competition.
